The Eotech XPS2 is the compact variant of the famed Eotech 512. The XPS2 has been shortened significantly to provide an option for those looking to mount an optic to a weapon with limited rail space, like PTR rifles, MP5s, and even the AK 47 series can be limited in the amount of space provided for an optic. This is an even bigger issue if one is looking to add the addition of a magnifier.
The XPS2 is an extremely high quality optic, built to the same standards as the traditional Eotech that is in widespread use by the military and police. The XPS2 is tough as nails and durable enough to keep going regardless of rain, poor lighting, or a little rough and tumble in its life.
The XPS2 is designed for close range combat utilizes a simple, and very easy to use reticle. The reticle is a large circle, with a small dot on the middle. The outer 65 MOA circle is designed for the real up close work, simply fill the circle with the target and pull the trigger. This allows the shooter to act on instinct and react within a second.
The internal, small dot is used for making precision shots at more extended ranges. speaking of extended ranges the XPS2 is compatible with the Eotech magnifier. Preppers looking for a combat optic for a carbine or shotgun can’t go wrong with the XPS2. Many may be concerned of the optic’s lack of long range appeal, but in all honesty engaging in a long range gun battle is a measure of futility. Anything beyond 300 yards means you can probably escape, and not risk your life or waste your ammo.
The XPS2 is the perfect compact carbine optic, it’s tough, dependable, and precise. The XPS2 is an excellent option for a prepper’s rifle.
